The “Axios” website, citing two informed sources, reported that “a high-level meeting was held between the foreign minister of the armed groups controlling Syria, Asaad al-Shaibani, and the head of the Zionist ‘Mossad,’ the criminal Roman Gofman.”

The website added that “the meeting came as an attempt to ease tensions between the two sides.”

This comes despite statements made by al-Shaibani to “Reuters,” in which he indicated that communications had been cut off following the Zionist attack that targeted the “Abu al-Duhur” Syrian air base, and that negotiations had been suspended following the war on Iran.

He expressed hope that negotiations would resume soon in order to reach a security agreement that would lead to the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy from Syrian territory.

It is worth noting that the Zionist enemy carried out eight airstrikes days ago targeting the runway of the Abu al-Duhur military airport in the eastern countryside of Idlib.

“Reuters” quoted sources as saying that Syrian-Zionist communication took place on August 14, meaning before the attack on the Syrian airport.

According to details, the new head of the Zionist “Mossad,” war criminal Roman Gofman, contacted the foreign minister of the armed groups controlling Syria, Asaad al-Shaibani, with the discussion focusing on the Turkish military presence in Syria.
