The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said that the intensification of the Zionist enemy army’s crimes and attacks on the Gaza Strip since this morning—including the demolition of a number of citizens’ homes in the southern Strip, opening fire on fishermen in the sea off Gaza City, and targeting civilians across all areas of the Strip—constitutes a systematic fascist escalation by the government of war criminal Netanyahu, and confirms its continuation of the war of extermination against our people and its renunciation of its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.
In its statement, the movement stressed that what is taking place is no longer sporadic violations or isolated incidents, but has become a systematic policy of aggression and an ongoing war taking different forms.
It renewed its call on the mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement to assume their responsibilities toward these Zionist crimes against our people, and to move immediately to pressure the enemy government to halt its aggression against our people and compel it to respect the agreement signed under international auspices.
It added that the daily brutal massacres committed by the enemy army amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, requiring international, UN, and popular action to isolate the enemy, hold its fascist leaders accountable, and take measures capable of protecting our unarmed people, who continue to face the danger of extermination and displacement.
The Zionist enemy’s violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip continue on a daily basis, through the continuation of bombardment, demolition operations, gunfire, and attacks targeting various areas of the Strip.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the enemy’s violations since the ceasefire agreement came into effect have resulted in the killing of 1,320 people and the injury of another 4,385. Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023, the cumulative death toll has risen to 73,456, while the cumulative number of injuries has reached 174,496.
