The death toll from overnight US attacks on Iran has risen to 18 martyrs, with 108 injured, Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi said Wednesday.

The figures cover casualties from US bombings across Iran, including the attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik.

Iran's Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attack, stressing Tehran's determination to defend its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and said the targeting of civilians at the wedding was a blatant violation of international law. The ministry compared the strike to previous US attacks in Minab and Lamerd.

The IRGC also reported the martyrdom of four Aerospace Force members in strikes on Kermanshah province, while local reports pointed to further casualties in Khuzestan province and among Basij members.

Iran retaliates against US bases

Iran responded with missile and drone attacks against US military positions across the region. The IRGC said Iranian forces struck a US Marine Corps camp in Jordan, reporting a large number of US personnel killed, and hit the headquarters and residence of the US commander at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

The Iranian Army separately struck radar installations and troop concentrations at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain and at Al Dhafra and Al Minhad bases in the UAE.

Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said a large number of US commanders and troops were killed or wounded in the strikes, and warned regional states that cooperation with the US military would carry serious consequences.
