Thousands of Yemenis took to the streets in Sanaa and several provincial capitals on Friday evening to celebrate what they described as a major victory by the Yemeni armed forces on the western coast and the routing of Saudi enemy forces from areas of Taiz and Hodeida.
Large crowds expressed their support for Operation “Allah Is Stronger in Might and More Severe in Punishment,” describing its outcome as a turning point toward liberating Yemeni territory and reclaiming the country’s resources from the forces of aggression and occupation and their mercenary proxies.
In Sanaa, celebrants set off fireworks and chanted traditional Yemeni slogans and songs, while green lights marking the Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary illuminated the gatherings.
Participants praised the Yemeni armed forces for what they called historic battlefield achievements, saying the victories demonstrated Yemen’s ability to defend its territory and people.
The crowds also reaffirmed their support for Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, pledging to provide the armed forces with personnel, funding, and equipment and to remain prepared for further developments.
Hodeida Rallies in Support of the Victory
In parallel, residents of Al Hudaydah held a mass rally celebrating the operation and its reported military gains. Participants carried national flags, banners and slogans expressing pride in the Yemeni armed forces and praised the results announced in the military’s statement concerning the operation, which began on September 3.
The rally’s statement said that Yemeni forces had driven back Saudi military concentrations, secured large areas along Yemen’s western coastline, and inflicted losses on Saudi forces and their local proxies. It also highlighted the reported liberation of a number of prisoners from detention facilities operated by enemy-affiliated forces on the western coast.
Participants reaffirmed their support for the military equation declared by the armed forces: “siege for siege, targeting Saudi enemy concentrations, and escalation for escalation.” They pledged continued popular mobilization and support for the military fronts.
The statement described the reported liberation of several western-coast districts, including Hays and Al Khawkhah, as a major victory for the people of Tihama and said it would open the way for a new phase of security, stability and development in the coastal region.
The crowds also warned Saudi Arabia that further attacks on Yemen would not go unanswered, stressing that the country would continue confronting what they described as aggression against its sovereignty, security and dignity.
Celebrations Spread Across Other Provinces
Similar rallies were held in Dhamar, Amran and Hajjah, where participants celebrated the reported military gains and expressed gratitude for what they described as a significant victory.
Statements issued at the rallies reaffirmed continued mobilization and readiness for further developments, including military training and other mobilization activities, until what participants described as Yemen’s rights and resources are restored and all occupied territory is liberated.
The participants also renewed their full support for Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and the Yemeni armed forces, while calling for greater national unity and warning against attempts to undermine social cohesion.
The rallies further welcomed the general amnesty announced by the head of the Supreme Political Council, urging those who had joined the opposing camp to lay down their arms, return home and take advantage of the amnesty.
Reports from across the provinces indicated that popular rallies continued to be organized in celebration of the reported victory and in support of maintaining a high level of military and popular readiness for the next phase.
