Government spokesperson for the Change and Construction Government, Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaity, said, “The Saudi enemy is adding new crimes to a long record of crimes it has committed against the people of our nation throughout 12 years of aggression and siege by targeting safe travelers at Al-Barh Bridge in Maqbanah District today, while the blood has not yet dried from its heinous crime against inmates of the Central Hazm Al-Jawf Correctional Facility.”
In a statement, the government spokesperson pointed out that the criminal Saudi enemy is also continuing its siege of Yemeni ports and airports with the aim of starving the Yemeni people, impoverishing them, and destroying all of their capabilities and resources.
He affirmed that the criminal Saudi enemy continues to target our country with hundreds of airstrikes every day by its hostile aircraft, which take off from bases in Khamis Mushait and Taif, in a flagrant violation of all international conventions and of the country’s sovereignty and independence.
The government spokesperson added, “The criminal Saudi enemy has not learned from its defeats in Yemen over 12 years, and still imagines that this round of escalation can bring it different results. The truth is that its military mobilizations, military bases, and oil facilities will remain targets for Yemeni strikes, and if this regime does not come to its senses, what is coming will be more severe than what came before.”
He continued, “If the criminal Saudi enemy believes that it can set the Yemeni lands ablaze with military barracks, stockpile weapons, and mobilize militias for the purpose of killing and targeting this people, occupying its land, and plundering its wealth and resources, then it has yet to understand why previous invaders called Yemen the graveyard of invaders.”
The government spokesperson affirmed that our people today confront every escalation with escalation and respond to the siege with siege, based on their just and legitimate rights. A people known for its dignity and which has sacrificed everything precious for the sake of freedom cannot remain silent in the face of this criminal and illegitimate escalation.
He renewed his affirmation that the Saudi enemy has no option other than to halt its aggression against Yemen, lift its siege, fully withdraw from Yemen, pay compensation, and release the prisoners. Without achieving this, he said, all of its repeated journeys in search of armies for hire or proxies to defend it will be of no avail.
