A consultative meeting of senior tribal sheikhs from Marib Governorate was held in Sanaa today to review developments on the national scene in general and in Marib Governorate in particular, as well as the security, military, and social conditions in the governorate.

The meeting discussed the situation in the districts of the city and Al-Wadi, which are under Saudi occupation, and which Saudi Arabia has turned into a station and launching point for aggression against the rest of the republic’s governorates. It has mobilized mercenaries from outcasts and terrorist organizations there, turned their people into fuel for its aggression against their brothers in the governorate’s districts and other governorates, and used displaced people as human shields surrounding the city.

Those present heard an explanation of the conditions and suffering experienced by the governorate as a result of the enemy’s control over sources of wealth, oil, and revenues, and its deprivation of the people of the governorate of their rights and resources.

A statement issued by the meeting and read by Sheikh Hussein Hazeb affirmed support for the steps taken by Revolution Leader Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruddin al-Houthi to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and impose and consolidate the equation of “siege for siege and escalation for escalation” until the Saudi enemy halts its aggression, lifts its siege, and leaves Yemeni territory.

The statement congratulated the Revolution Leader, the political and military leadership, and the Yemeni people on the victory achieved in Operation “Allah Is Stronger in Might and More Severe in Inflicting Punishment,” which culminated in the liberation of the districts in the western coast and Taiz.

The statement explained that the continuation of the Saudi occupation of the capital of Marib Governorate and Al-Wadi District, and its repercussions on the people of the governorate and other governorates, is no longer tolerable, affirming the readiness of the Marib tribes to carry out their role alongside the armed forces and security forces to complete the liberation of the remaining districts of the governorate.

It renewed its adherence to the initiative of the Revolution Leader, announced by the official spokesperson on 9/8/2021, and approved by the people of Marib, as it addresses many of the problems that the governorate has suffered from and continues to suffer from.

The statement called on the sheikhs and dignitaries present in the occupied areas to exercise reason and sound judgment and not to drag their sons into a battle in service of the Saudi enemy and its agendas in Yemen, stressing the importance of joint coordination in a manner that achieves security and peace for the city and its residents.
