Member of the Consultative Council of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, scholar Ahmed Darham Abu Huraira, affirmed that the accusations attributing the targeting of Mecca to Yemen are intended to win the sympathy of the Muslim nation and unaware peoples who see and hear nothing except what is broadcast by Saudi Arabia’s enormous media machine, which is a cheap tool for America and Israel.

In a speech during the Yemeni Scholars’ Conference to refute the Saudi regime’s claims regarding the targeting of Mecca, may Allah protect it, Scholar Abu Huraira said: “It is regrettable that such false accusations, whose falsehood is as clear as the light of day, are attributed to the dearest of Allah’s allies, those who are protectors of the sanctities of Islam, let alone the Holy Kaaba and Mecca.”

He added: “We, as scholars and preachers, must confront this fierce campaign, expose its falsehood, and make this clear to the world through such a conference and through our words in our sermons, lectures, and meetings, so that the message reaches all the peoples of Islam, and so that those who hear nothing except from those misguided and misleading channels that serve America, Israel, Satan, and disbelief may learn the truth.”

The member of the Consultative Council of the Association of Scholars pointed out that there are peoples who neither hear nor see, but that it is the duty of scholars to act during the current stage and introduce this issue into Friday sermons, lectures, and every occasion, because its impact reaches all people in order to refute this obvious lie.

He continued: “We, the scholars, must fulfill our duty in confronting the campaign that the Saudi regime has used for the second time, after it felt defeated and failed on the battlefield, when it realized that its tools and minions had lost and been defeated, and returned to this lie.”

Scholar Abu Huraira stated that a scholar, by virtue of his position and social standing, is able to reach society more than others, explaining that the person stationed on the front and the fighter can direct weapons on the battlefield, while the scholar directs the weapon of the word toward society through awareness, enlightenment, and education.
