The Shura Council denounced the false claims and allegations promoted by the Saudi regime’s media outlets regarding the existence of a danger or threat targeting the city of Mecca and the Sacred House from Yemeni territory.

In a statement issued today, the Council affirmed its categorical rejection of these fabrications and the blatant media disinformation deliberately employed by the Saudi enemy in an attempt to win the sympathy of Islamic peoples and distort facts in order to justify the continuation of its aggression, escalation, and blockade against the Yemeni people.

The statement explained that the Yemeni people have demonstrated, beyond any doubt, that they are among the foremost peoples to stand at the forefront and among the fundamental pillars in defending Islamic sanctities and inviolable matters and supporting the causes of the nation. It pointed out that Yemen, both its leadership and people, places the sacred sites—and foremost among them the Holy Kaaba—at the highest levels of reverence and sanctification, and considers their protection and respect an established religious and moral duty inseparable from its faith-based identity.

It noted that the promotion of these rumors and lies comes as an attempt to cover up the daily crimes and the targeting of civilian objects in Yemen, and as a desperate attempt to exploit Islamic sanctities in narrow conflicts and political agendas.

The statement called on the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations not to be drawn into these fabricated disinformation campaigns, to stand consciously before the realities on the ground, and to confront attempts to exploit the Sacred House of Allah in the agendas of the Saudi regime.

The Shura Council renewed its affirmation of the steadfastness of the Yemeni position in defending the sovereignty and territory of the homeland, alongside an absolute commitment to revering and defending the sanctities of Allah and the Islamic holy sites, foremost among them Mecca, Medina, and Al-Aqsa.
