*Washington Post* has revealed that the number of fatalities among US forces during the war against Iran exceeds the figures announced by the US Department of War (the Pentagon) in its official statements.
The newspaper based its report on information from six US officials familiar with internal Pentagon data regarding the tally of US military casualties.
Citing five of these officials, *Washington Post* reported at least four instances of US military fatalities that were not included in the public database released by the US Department of War.
