US President Donald Trump announced Friday that CNN, MS NOW and Politico would lose access to the White House immediately, widening his administration’s restrictions on the press and threatening similar measures against other news organizations.
The announcement, posted on Truth Social, offered no specific examples to substantiate his accusations of false reporting and did not explain how the exclusions would be implemented.
"I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW... and Politico... from the White House as a result of their constant 'reporting' FAKE NEWS!" Trump wrote.
