Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to the recent message and statements by his French counterpart, calling on him to stop shedding crocodile tears.

Addressing his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, on the platform “X,” Araghchi said: “France committed massacres against one and a half million Algerians during the War of Independence; and although Paris has officially acknowledged fewer than a tenth of that number, it still refuses to apologize for its colonial crimes.”

Araghchi added: “Enough with the crocodile tears, Mr. Barrot; your silence when the United States committed massacres against our children in schools speaks for itself.”

Earlier, the French foreign minister had made statements concerning Iran’s internal affairs, accusing Tehran of violating human rights.
