Marib Deputy Governor Saeed Bahibeh has held the Saudi enemy and its mercenaries fully responsible for the closure of the Al-Falaj–Marib City road, which links the city to several other governorates.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Bahibeh said that Saudi enemy mercenaries blocked the Al-Falaj–Marib City road on September 10 and constructed an earthen barrier around the Al-Falaj checkpoint, planting the area with landmines. As a result, passenger traffic along the international road was brought to a standstill.

He stressed that the road from the Sana’a side remains open and fully accessible, with no obstructions imposed by the armed forces or security forces. He also welcomed any humanitarian initiative to pressure the other side into reopening the road from its end and removing the earthen barriers and landmines.

Bahibeh pointed to the local authorities’ commitment to alleviating the suffering of citizens who are forced to travel via rugged routes through Al Bayda Governorate, covering long distances to reach their destinations.
