Al-Mahrah Governor Al-Qahtabi Al-Farji renewed his call on the people of the governorate, as well as those in Yemen’s southern and eastern governorates, to remain vigilant against foreign plots targeting the country’s sovereignty, independence, and national resources.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Al-Farji said the battle being fought by the armed forces and the Yemeni people is a decisive one against the Saudi occupier and its proxies, stressing that it is in no way directed against the people of the southern and eastern governorates.
He reassured them that the struggle for liberation and independence is aimed at freeing Yemen from Saudi dependency and tutelage, stressing that defending national sovereignty and confronting the occupiers is the responsibility of all Yemenis across the country.
Al-Farji said the Saudi enemy is using the people of Al-Mahrah and other southern and eastern governorates as fuel for its losing wars, warning that continued reliance on Saudi Arabia and its proxies would only bring further suffering. He stressed that safeguarding Yemen’s sovereignty requires unifying efforts and placing the national interest above all else.
He also called on scholars, tribal sheikhs, and community figures in Al-Mahrah to raise awareness among young people of the dangers of being drawn into Saudi mobilization efforts and losing battles, and to protect society from schemes targeting Yemen’s sovereignty, security, stability, and social cohesion.
