Yemeni Armed Forces announced two military operations targeting a sensitive site in Riyadh and Aramco in Yanbu with ballistic and cruise missiles and drones, saying both operations successfully achieved their objectives.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Sare'e said the operations were carried out in response to the continued Saudi aggression and blockade against Yemen.
Sare'e said Saudi attacks since the latest escalation began have reached 1,018 airstrikes and missile attacks, targeting Marib, Sa’adah, Hodeidah, Taiz, Al-Jawf and Al-Baidha, and causing civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.
He said continued Saudi attacks would not deter Yemen from responding, stressing that every attack will be met with a response, and every escalation with a corresponding escalation.
The Yemeni Armed Forces also reaffirmed their blockade -for- blockade and escalation -for- escalation policy and said they would continue targeting Saudi military mobilizations until the aggression and blockade are ended.
The announcement follows a sharp escalation in Saudi-Yemeni hostilities, with Sana’a reporting more than 1,000 Saudi air and missile attacks since the latest escalation began.
Earlier Thursday, the Yemeni Armed Forces also announced a large-scale operation targeting Saudi military command centers, weapons depots and other positions in Al-Tuwal, Jizan, casualties among Sudanese and Yemeni forces as well as Saudi officers and commanders.
The latest operations mark a further expansion of the confrontation, as Sana’a links its attacks directly to the continued Saudi air campaign and blockade.
