Hezbollah Sunday organized a memorial ceremony to mark the second anniversary of the martyrdom of its former Secretaries-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, held under the slogan "We Remain Faithful to the Pledge."
The main ceremony took place at the shrine of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, coincided with concurrent commemorations at the shrine of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine in the southern town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, and the shrine of former Secretary-General Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi in Bekaa town of Nabi Chit.
The occasion served as a venue to recall the lives and legacies of the two leaders, reaffirm adherence to their principles, and demonstrate popular and official support two years following their deaths.
Tens of thousands gathered at Sayyed Nasrallah's shrine, with crowds extending into surrounding streets and squares. The event was attended by political, religious, and diplomatic figures, as well as delegations from across the Arab and Islamic world.
Commemorative events featured a march involving over 10,000 scouts led by marching bands. Participants carried Lebanese flags, resistance banners, and portraits of the fallen leaders.
Parallel gatherings took place in southern Lebanon and Bekaa Valley, where supporters assembled at the shrines in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr and Nabi Chit.
Speaking at the event, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem reiterated the group's commitment to the principles established by the late leaders in addressing ongoing challenges.
The commemorative activities are scheduled to continue at Beirut shrine, concluding Tuesday with a formal reception for mourners from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
