Hezbollah organized a memorial ceremony commemorating and honoring the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyid of the Martyrs of the Nation, His Eminence Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, may Allah's mercy be upon him, and the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, His Eminence Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, may Allah's mercy be upon him, under the slogan: “We Remain True to the Covenant.”

The ceremony was held at the shrine of the Sayyid of the Martyrs of the Nation, simultaneously with two other ceremonies at the shrine of Sayyid Hashem Safieddine in the southern town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, and at the shrine of the martyr Sayyid Abbas al-Moussawi in the Bekaa town of Nabi Sheet.

The occasion provided an opportunity to recall the lives and journeys of the two martyred Sayyids, express loyalty to them, and reaffirm adherence to their principles and path. The large popular and official turnout reflected the enduring presence of their memory two years after their absence.

Tens of thousands gathered at the shrine of the Sayyid of the Martyrs of the Nation, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, with the crowds extending into the surrounding squares and roads, commemorating the second anniversary of his martyrdom and that of his successor, Sayyid Hashem Safieddine. Political, religious, and diplomatic figures were present, alongside Arab and Islamic delegations participating in the commemoration.

The events also featured a large procession involving more than 10,000 scouts from different generations of Sayyid Nasrallah’s era. They were led by scout marching bands, while participants raised the flags of Lebanon and the Resistance, along with images of the martyred leaders, in a scene that brought together different generations along the path of loyalty to the two martyred Sayyids.

The crowds, flags, and images reflected the continued presence of the two leaders two years after their martyrdom and the renewal of their memory among successive generations. Participants recalled chapters from their lives, affirming that their martyrdom was not the end of their presence, but rather the beginning of a memory renewed with every generation.

In the South and the Bekaa, supporters gathered at the shrine of the Hashemite martyr Sayyid Hashem Safieddine in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, and at the shrine of the Sayyid of the Martyrs of the Islamic Resistance, Sayyid Abbas al-Moussawi, in Nabi Sheet, to participate in commemorating the anniversary.

From the podium of the event, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed the principles of the path established by the two martyred Sayyids and his adherence to them in confronting the challenges.

The events at the shrine of the Sayyid of the Martyrs of the Nation are continuing and will conclude on Tuesday with ceremonies to receive mourners and supporters, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
