The Southern Movement component has condemned the escalating complete war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Saudi enemy by targeting innocent civilians and civilian objects, threatening and disturbing public tranquility, and infringing on the nation's sovereignty.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the component referred to the systematic bombardment and targeting of markets—the latest being the targeting of the central market in Taiz province—as well as the shelling and targeting of schools, population centers, and everything related to life and livelihoods across all governorates.
It affirmed that these practices clearly indicate the criminal behavior of the Saudi enemy and the extent of its contempt for innocent lives and its violation of the most basic religious, moral, and humanitarian values and international laws that prohibit targeting civilians and their vital facilities.
It considered the continuation of Saudi enemy crimes against civilians and basic infrastructure without clear condemnation or calls to stop them a "stain of shame" on the forehead of the civilized world and international and regional institutions concerned with protecting and promoting human rights.
Legitimate Right to Respond
The component stressed the inherent and legitimate right of the Yemeni people, their wise leadership, and their valiant Armed Forces to respond by all possible means to the crimes and aggressive violations of the criminal Saudi enemy. It blessed the qualitative military operations targeting the Saudi enemy's depth and interests, praising the success of the "siege for siege and escalation for escalation" equation imposed upon it.
Recently, seven civilians were killed or injured in a Saudi enemy strike on a civilian home in Al-Ma’afer District, Taiz Province.
"Three women and an elderly man were killed, while three others were injured in the attack, according to an initial, non-final toll," the Ministry of Health said.
The strike comes amid renewed Saudi enemy airstrikes across Yemen in September 2026, with Yemeni authorities reporting civilian casualties and damage to homes and other civilian facilities.
