More than 6,500 Palestinians have been displaced from their homes in the occupied West Bank since 2023 due to settler attacks and access restrictions, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has revealed.
An updated OCHA map tracks communities that have been displaced and locations where more than 6,000 settler attacks have been recorded since 2023, resulting in casualties, property damage, or both.
The UN agency said 49 Palestinian communities have been completely displaced and another 83 partially displaced. Settler attacks have also damaged around 88,000 trees and saplings, which provide livelihoods for many Palestinians, as well as more than 3,100 vehicles.
"Palestinians across the occupied Palestinian territory must be protected and allowed to access their homes, olive groves, workplaces, schools and essential services in safety and dignity," OCHA said, stressing that "Perpetrators of attacks must be held to account."
