The U.S. Navy announced that an incident occurred yesterday, Monday, during aircraft recovery operations aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower off the coast of Virginia.
The Navy stated that rescue teams recovered two naval aviators belonging to Carrier Air Wing 3 (CVW-3) aboard the vessel, while one sailor was transported to a hospital in Norfolk area for medical treatment following an injury.
It added that four other crew members aboard the ship were also injured during the incident, noting that they are currently receiving necessary medical care.
