The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the measures being taken by the United States with the aim of disrupting trade exchanges and air transport between Iran and other countries.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that these measures “not only contradict the principles of the United Nations, but also represent a conspiracy aimed at harming relations between states.”

Tehran considered the restrictions imposed on civil aviation between Iran and Iraq to be contrary to the common interests of the two countries.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry affirmed that relations between Iran and Iraq go beyond traditional relations and are based on popular ties and mutual interests between the two countries.

In a related development, Iranian Leader’s Adviser and Assistant Mohammad Mokhber hinted at a response to countries that have suspended flights operated by Iranian airlines, warning that the continuation of restrictions imposed on Iranian air traffic could affect air traffic across the region.

In a post on his account on the “X” platform, Mokhber said: “Aviation in the region must either be available to everyone, or available to no one.”

He added: “If Iran is unable to operate flights and obtain airport services, no country in the region will be able to do so either.”

The developments came after US measures disrupted air traffic between Iran and a number of countries.
