The Ministry of Transport and Public Works has strongly condemned what it described as a dangerous escalation by the Saudi enemy and its proxies, including the closure of major roads in Taiz province, particularly the Al-Qasr Roundabout crossing and routes linking Taiz with neighboring districts and governorates.

In a statement obtained by Ansar Allah, the ministry said the Saudi enemy’s proxies had imposed a so-called traffic ban on 14 vital roads, including routes connecting Sanaa, Dhamar, Ibb, Al-Qa’idah, Al-Hawban and Al-Qasr Roundabout, as well as roads leading to Al-Rahedah, Al-Barh, Mokha, Al-Aqrood and Al-Maqatirah. It described the move as a declaration of war and a direct attack on the daily lifeline of thousands of residents and travelers.

The ministry rejected claims that the restrictions were imposed for military or safety reasons, calling them flimsy pretexts to tighten the siege and impose collective punishment by restricting access to essential services, hospitals, factories and livelihoods.

It warned that the measures were aimed at further strangling the local economy and worsening the humanitarian crisis, describing the use of civilian roads and crossings as instruments of pressure as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

The ministry urged Taiz residents and travelers to remain vigilant against what it called the “Zionist-Saudi conspiracy” and its proxies, accusing them of seeking to sever Yemen’s geographical links and fracture its social fabric. It said such measures would ultimately be defeated by the steadfastness and awareness of the Yemeni people.
