Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Affairs, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, condemned the mutilation of the body of a Yemeni martyr by Saudi soldiers and their mercenaries, describing it as a Daesh-style practice of the Saudi regime.

Abu Ras said the incident was not the first of its kind, calling it a clear message to the Yemeni people about the nature of the Saudi kingdom.

He said the incident and other crimes reinforce Yemen’s determination to end Saudi interference in Yemen.

The statement comes after Saudi soldiers and their mercenaries mutilated the body of a Yemeni Armed Forces martyr in Taiz, an act that has drawn condemnation from Yemeni rights and official bodies.

The incident has intensified condemnation against Saudi-backed forces over violations involving the bodies of fallen fighters and prisoners amid the latest Saudi military escalation against Yemen.
