The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out three military operations on Monday using a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles and drones, targeting strategic sites inside Saudi Arabia.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Sare'e said the first operation targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, scoring a direct hit that disrupted air traffic.

The second operation targeted the Aramco refinery in Rabigh, also achieving a direct hit and causing fires at the site.

The third operation targeted Abha Airport, Khamis Mushait Air Base, Akafah Camp in Asir, and other sensitive sites in Najran and Jizan, with the Yemeni Armed Forces reporting direct hits.

The Yemeni Armed Forces warned all international airlines operating through Saudi airspace to suspend their flights, saying the airspace had become a theater of its military operations. The warning excludes the airspace over Mecca and Medina, it said.

The Yemeni Armed Forces said it has the capabilities and resources to confront the ongoing escalation, adding that it had prepared for such a scenario and was ready to respond on the battlefield.

The operations come amid a renewed Saudi escalation against Yemen. The Yemeni Armed Forces has repeatedly warned that continued attacks would prompt expanded strikes against strategic and military targets inside Saudi Arabia.
