The Yemeni Armed Forces have renewed their warning to airlines, aviation experts, airport personnel and travelers against using Saudi airports and airspace, declaring them potential targets and a theater of military operations, except for airports in Mecca and Madinah.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e urged all concerned parties to take the warnings seriously, holding Saudi Arabia responsible for any failed interception attempts.

Sare'e stressed that the Yemeni Armed Forces would continue enforcing the deterrence measures they had announced: “airport for airport, blockade for blockade, and escalation for escalation,” until their objectives were achieved.

The warning comes amid escalating tensions and follows Yemen’s stated commitment to maintaining its response to Saudi military actions and the blockade imposed on Yemen. Sare'e said the next phase would remain shaped by continued escalation and corresponding countermeasures.

The Yemeni Armed Forces called on all relevant parties to take the warning seriously and exercise caution regarding the use of Saudi airports and airspace.

Yemen's military operations against Saudi targets are retaliation for Saudi-led aggression and the blockade imposed on Yemen since 2015. The latest warning signals the potential for further disruption to regional aviation as Yemen reiterates its policy of airport-for-airport and blockade-for-blockade.”
