Government Spokesman Dr. Omar al-Bukhaiti condemned what he described as a heinous crime committed by the Saudi enemy, accusing it of targeting a civilian’s home in a residential neighborhood in Shu'ub District, the capital’s municipal area.

He described the attack as an act of genocide deliberately aimed at wiping out an entire Yemeni family, saying this had been the Saudi enemy’s habitual conduct throughout its 12-year-long aggression against Yemen.

In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the government spokesman noted that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of a child and injuries to six others, in addition to extensive damage to citizens’ property in a densely populated neighborhood.

He described the incident as a documented crime that would never be erased by the passage of time, reflecting what he called the sick, barbaric, and bloodthirsty mentality of the Saudi regime, particularly its thirst for the blood of children.

Al-Bukhaiti also condemned the silence of United Nations organizations, accusing them of complicity in the shedding of Yemeni blood through their failure to denounce such crimes.

He stressed that no matter how grave the Saudi enemy’s crimes become, they will not break the Yemeni people’s resolve to repel the aggression imposed upon them, break the blockade, and achieve full independence.
