Armed Forces Spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree confirmed on Wednesday that the Saudi enemy had carried out 42 airstrikes over the past 24 hours, including strikes on Mayyun Island, located in the middle of the Bab al-Mandab Strait. He stated that this would affect maritime traffic and that the Saudi enemy must bear the consequences.

In a statement issued by him, Brig. Gen. Saree explained that the Saudi enemy’s airstrikes and missiles targeted civilian facilities in the capital, Sana’a, and the governorates of Taiz, Lahj, Marib, Amran, as well as Mayyun Island. The attacks were carried out by F-15 and Typhoon aircraft that took off from the Khamis Mushait and Taif air bases, while the missile aggression originated from Najran.

He pointed out that the total number of Saudi aggression airstrikes and missile attacks since the beginning of its escalation against our country had reached 2,323.

The Armed Forces spokesman affirmed that the Saudi enemy’s targeting of Mayyun Island with air and missile strikes directly threatens maritime shipping lanes, holding the Saudi aggressor responsible for any consequences arising from this attack and for what may result from it in terms of threats to the safety of maritime navigation.
