The Saudi enemy has continued its attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure across Yemen since the latest escalation began in July, with the Yemeni Armed Forces reporting a total of 2,542 airstrikes and missile attacks.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Sare'e said Saturday that Saudi warplanes carried out 53 airstrikes over the past 24 hours using F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets launched from Khamis Mushait and Taif air bases.

The attacks targeted civilian areas and facilities in Sana’a, Taiz, Ibb, Lahj, Sa'adah and Amran, leaving numerous civilians dead and injured, most of them women and children.

According to the Ministry of Health, in Taiz, Saudi airstrikes hit civilian homes in Maqbanah district, killing nine people, including a woman and a girl, and injuring 16 others. Rescue teams continued searching for victims trapped beneath the rubble.

Other attacks in Taiz reportedly injured civilians in Al-Taiziyah and Al-Misrakh districts, struck homes with mortar shells and sniper fire, and targeted a telecommunications network in Al-Nashmah area. An airstrike in the Al-Aridhi area of Dhubab district killed three civilians and killed livestock.

In Sa'adah, two civilians were injured by Saudi enemy fire, while airstrikes and artillery shelling targeted populated areas in Razih and Shada districts.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Ministry of Telecommunications condemned repeated Saudi attacks on telecommunications facilities across the country, saying the latest escalation has put 902 telecommunications sites and stations out of service.

The ministry described the sector as an essential civilian service and said the attacks disrupt communications and deprive Yemenis of vital services.

The strikes come amid renewed Saudi attacks on Yemen, with civilian areas among the targets and casualties continuing to be reported across the country.

Airstrikes on residential areas have raised concerns over civilian casualties and damage to homes in Yemen amid the ongoing escalation.
