Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned Saudi airstrikes on civilian homes in Maqbanah district, Taiz governorate, on Saturday, which reportedly killed and wounded 25 people, including women and children.

The ministry said the Saudi enemy continues to target civilians and civilian infrastructure, repeating a pattern it has pursued throughout the years of aggression.

It condemned the international community’s silence, saying it encourages further attacks and makes the international community complicit in these crimes.

The ministry called for an end to double standards and accountability, warning that the attacks would not go unanswered and that the Saudi enemy would be held responsible for the bloodshed.

At least nine civilians, including women and children, were killed and 16 others injured in an initial toll from four Saudi airstrikes targeting the Hamir al-Jabal area of Maqbana district in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, on Saturday.

Al-Masirah’s correspondent in Taiz reported that several residents remained trapped beneath the rubble of their homes, with difficulties hampering rescue and recovery efforts. The death toll is expected to rise.

The strikes come amid renewed Saudi attacks on Yemen, with civilian areas among the targets and casualties continuing to be reported across the country.
