The National Human Rights Authority strongly condemned the heinous crime committed today by the Saudi enemy’s aircraft, which carried out two airstrikes targeting two fishing boats off the coast of Al-Kadha in the coastal district of Dhubab, Taiz Governorate. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of eight fishermen, according to an initial toll.

In a statement, the Authority affirmed that this crime against unarmed civilians carrying out their daily work to earn their livelihood constitutes a fully fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian conventions and laws. It also represents a continuation of the series of systematic crimes committed against Yemeni fishermen and the Yemeni people as a whole.

The Authority held the Saudi enemy fully responsible for this crime, calling on the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, and international organizations to condemn the crime and pursue those responsible in a manner that ensures they do not escape punishment.
