Iranian Defense Minister Mehrdad Akhlaghi affirmed that the response to threats does not lie in slogans and speeches, but in raising the level of combat readiness and strengthening defensive capabilities.
In a post on the X platform on Wednesday, Akhlaghi said he had devoted the first hours of his work to meeting the requirements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace Force and the Army’s air defense, stressing the focus on targets through the use of modern technologies.
“We would rather eat dirt than give up our soil,” he added, in a reference to the commitment to defending the homeland and the readiness to stand firm and make sacrifices in its defense, without surrendering an inch of its territory.
