Yemen's Foreign Ministry has held the Saudi regime responsible for the consequences of attempting to militarize the Red Sea, indicating that Riyadh seeks to commit crimes at sea to push the situation toward mutual escalation in order to call for international intervention that would save Saudi Arabia from its quagmire in the war on Yemen.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry affirmed that there is no threat to navigation in the Red Sea from Yemen's side, and that the Saudi regime must bear the consequences of militarizing the Red Sea.
It stressed that the repeated crimes in the Red Sea are a condemned and deplorable act and evidence of bankruptcy, and a Saudi attempt to militarize the Red Sea.
This comes as the Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman confirmed that the Saudi enemy targeted an Indian yacht near the Yemeni Zugar Island in the Red Sea.
The statement follows the Saudi attack on an Indian yacht near Zugar Island, which the Yemeni Armed Forces said it was rescuing. Yemen has consistently affirmed that its naval operations target only Saudi-linked shipping and that international navigation in the Red Sea remains safe.
