Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described the US-Israeli relationship as a “parasitic relationship,” rather than a symbiotic one.

In a post on X, Araghchi explained that over the past three years, the United States had spent $11 billion in taxpayers’ money on Israel’s missile defense system.

He added that Washington had launched more defensive interceptor missiles in defense of “Israel” than “Israel” itself had launched.

The Responsible Statecraft website had previously reported that the United States was facing an accelerating depletion of its stockpile of air defense interceptor missiles due to their extensive use since October 2023 to protect “Israel” and “secure maritime traffic in the Red Sea.”

CNN had also previously revealed that the United States used approximately one-quarter of its stockpile of advanced THAAD interceptor missiles during the 12-day war between “Israel” and Iran in June.

In 2024, a report issued by the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs estimated that the United States had spent at least $22.76 billion on military aid to “Israel” over the course of one year.
