Local authorities in Taiz confirmed that Saudi-backed forces are obstructing the delivery of medical aid from Sana'a to hospitals in the city for the fifth consecutive day.

A local authority source told the Saba news agency that the forces had repeatedly asked international humanitarian organizations to postpone delivering medical supplies via the Al-Hawban–Al-Qasr–Al-Kamb–Hawd Al-Ashraf route, citing Saudi directives to close all roads leading to the city center.

The source said the continued delays were worsening the situation for residents and restricting access to essential medical supplies. The source also accused the Saudi-backed groups of prioritizing political and media considerations over the needs of Taiz’s population.
