Remarks by the Leader Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi (May Allah protect him) on the American failure and the rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

Thursday, 10 Dhu Al-Qadah 1446 A.H. (08 May 2025 A.D.)

During the second round of escalation in their aggression against our country, from the 15th of Ramadan until the 9th of Dhu Al-Qadah, the Americans conducted continuous bombing operations against our country for over a month and a half. The number of air and naval strikes exceeded 1,712. This clearly indicates an escalation in the second round. In fact, it is evident to our dear people and all media observers that when the Americans entered this second round of aggression in support of the Israeli enemy, they did so with intense escalation, both in air strikes and naval attacks. However, despite their efforts, they suffered a resounding failure: They did not succeed in weakening our military capabilities, halting our operations, or breaking the will of our people.

Every week, our dear people take to the streets in massive, million-strong demonstrations across hundreds of squares—demonstrations that are unmatched anywhere in the world. This stands in stark contrast to Americans' repeated failure to weaken our military strength, limit our operations, or shake the will of the people or their firm position. None of their attempts has yielded any result.

Due to this failure, the Americans decided to halt their support. This is what they themselves have announced and communicated to our brothers in Oman.

The American stance was not, as the criminal infidel Trump claimed, based on a plea or surrender from Yemen. That claim is so far from the truth that it is beyond belief. This is, in and of itself, the impossible—the very definition of impossible!

As a Yemeni people, we have taken a stand in support of the Palestinian people against the Israeli enemy, which is committing genocide and the most horrific and brutal crimes the world has ever witnessed, driven by our faith, trusting in Allah, and relying solely on Him, the Almighty. And we have witnessed Allah’s support, victory, guidance, and vast care, along with the powerful impact and effectiveness He has granted to our position. If the position of our dear Yemeni people—the Yemen of faith—hadn’t been powerful and influential, the Americans wouldn’t have mobilised all their capabilities, deploying aircraft carriers and bombers halt this position. If our people’s position were merely theatrical displays, the Americans wouldn’t have reacted at all. Yet, they have responded with such a large-scale mobilisation:

  • deploying bombers, aircraft carriers, and other military assets;
  • using special bombs and weapons in their attacks on our country; and
  • launching air strikes on a large scale and with great intensity.

All of this mobilisation was due to the great effectiveness of the Yemeni position; that effectiveness stems from Allah’s support, aid, and guidance. It falls within His true promise, as He said, {'O you who have attained faith, if you support Allah, He will grant you victory and strengthen your foothold'}. Indeed, this has been evident even in confronting the American aggression. Our direct course of action in support of the Palestinian people, through maritime operations and the enforcement of a navigation ban on Israeli ships, has achieved complete and absolute success. In addition, operations deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories against the Israeli enemy, using drones and missiles, have continued with increasing intensity and frequency, showing a clear, positive uptick in the scale of these operations. This is not to mention the sustained efforts to confront the American aggression and target American aircraft carriers in direct response to their aggression.

The recent scandal that ultimately came to light revealed the extent to which these operations affected the Truman aircraft carrier, which has been relying on evasive tactics and manoeuvres—as we've frequently mentioned. The situation escalated to the point where key American fighter jets began to fell off the aircraft carrier, notably the F-18s, each worth sixty-seven million dollars. The most recent incident occurred on Tuesday evening—during a sharp evasive turn by the carrier in response to a Yemeni operation, just before the American announcement—when one of these jets fell into the sea.

At every stage of this conflict up to this day, it has never occurred to us, nor have we ever considered, let alone accepted, the idea of addressing a criminal, oppressive, tyrannical, and arrogant enemy in a language of surrender, entreaty, or weakness. As a people grounded in our faith and shaped by our Quranic culture, we act in line with the Quranic attributes: {'They will be humble with the believers but firm towards the disbelievers'}. We follow remarkable attributes of faith: {'They are firm with the disbelievers and compassionate with one another'}. We are known for chanting, at every event and occasion, the strongest expressions that reflect our honest position: 'Death to America, death to Israel.' As you see, our slogan is clearly displayed here, and we keep chanting this slogan on every occasion as a forceful declaration of our faith-based pride. On the ground—our missiles, drones, and war boats—our military operations are all well-known. The resoluteness of our political stance is equally clear and unmistakable.

In short, our clear and publicly declared priority is to support the Palestinian people against the Israeli enemy. This is a priority we are committed to. The Americans started the first round of aggression against our country in support of the Israeli enemy and continued their assault, with Britain participating at several stages. That phase persisted until understandings were reached between the Palestinian people, represented by the leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Israeli enemy—those understandings that were brokered by Qatar and Egypt and backed by American guarantees. We then entered a period of pause, during which American aggression also ceased. However, the American position shifted again: Trump spoke of displacing the Palestinian people from Gaza, granting the Israeli enemy free rein to resume its campaign of genocide. The Americans also provided a vast stockpile of bombs and missiles to facilitate the killing of children and women in Gaza and allowed the blockade of food and medicine—even baby formula and essential food supplies for the people of Gaza. In response, we resumed our efforts comprehensively, guided by the demands of the moment, the scale of the battle, and the nature of the situation—we also made our position clear.

The Americans then launched a new round of aggression against our country, with hopes of securing a decisive outcome and achieving what they could not achieve in previous stages. Yet they failed. Indeed, their attempts ended in evident failure. This is evident even in the downing of MQ-9 drones, seven of which were shot down during the month of Shawwal alone, which shows that our approach is both effective and advancing. The Americans escalated their attacks, but they achieved nothing except greater losses and deeper failure. This is not to mention what they faced at sea: Their aircraft carriers in the northern Red Sea faced fierce confrontation, and their costly and strategically vital F-18 fighter jets fell overboard and were destroyed. In short, the Americans have achieved nothing but failure. They intensified their efforts, but this led to even greater failure. It is true that they inflicted heavy destruction on civilian property, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and wounded among our deer people—martyrs in the cause of Allah, in defence of a rightful stance and a just cause—but they failed completely to achieve anything: They failed to halt our operations, destroy our capabilities, or break the will of our dear people, who are driven by firm faith and a deep awareness of the value of their position.

Thus, the American announcement is not the result of any pleading or surrender; this only reflects the clownish behaviour Trump is known for. As we have repeatedly affirmed, our priority has always been to support the Palestinian people and their dear mujahidin, but the Americans initiated a round of aggression, which we stood up to. If they involve themselves in a third round, we are fully prepared to confront them again. Therefore, our position remains unwavering and comprehensive in supporting the Palestinian people—whether through missile strikes and drone operations deep into occupied Palestine, or by blocking Israeli ships from sailing through the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab Al-Mandab strait. Our position has not wavered, weakened, or regressed. It stands in full strength and readiness. And should the Americans become entangled once more, we are ready to face them, seeking support from Allah, the Almighty.

The operations, positions, popular activities, and million-strong demonstrations all stand as testament to our faith-driven steadfastness. Last week’s million-strong demonstration was tremendous, honourable, and significant. Tomorrow’s demonstration, Allah willing, will be a celebration of America’s great failure. It will also reaffirm our steadfastness in confronting the Israeli enemy, send a message of defiance and resilience to this enemy, and express unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people.

I call on our beloved people to take part in massive, million-strong demonstrations to express gratitude to Allah (the Almighty) for the American failure, to challenge the Israeli enemy, and to show steadfastness in maintaining our position against this enemy and standing in faithful, brotherly solidarity with the Palestinian people and their dear mujahidin.

I hope the turnout will be large and significant at Al-Sabeen Square in the capital, Sana'a, as well as at other public squares in other governorates.

Before concluding, we take the opportunity to address all the regimes and governments across the Islamic world, offering them sincere advice and reminding them of their responsibility in light of the escalating tension between India and Pakistan. The Americans are inciting India against Pakistan, and serious efforts must be made to contain this tension and thwart American attempts to spark a devastating war between the two nations. We are currently witnessing commendable efforts by Iran; however, there is a pressing need for broader and more coordinated action to defuse the situation. The Americans clearly have their own agendas and goals for fuelling such dangerous strife and major conflicts.

We ask Allah (Glory be to Him) to grant us success in seeking what pleases Him, have mercy on our virtuous martyrs, heal the wounded among us, and set free our captives. O Allah! Grant us victory. You are the Hearer of Prayer!

Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
