Congratulatory Statement by the Leader Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi (May Allah protect him) on the Blessed Occasion of Eid Al-Fitr
30 Ramadan 1447 A.H. (19 March 2026 A.D.)
Brothers and sisters, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Highlighting the favour He has bestowed upon us through the obligation of fasting the blessed month of Ramadan—with all the immense benefits, great blessings, and good effects of fasting, along with all goodness, blessing, and multiplied reward He has placed in this month—and drawing our attention to the blessing of fulfilling this obligation, Allah (Glory be to Him) says in the Holy Quran, {'So that you may proclaim the greatness of Allah for having guided you and that you may be thankful}. For what Allah has prescribed for us holds immense good for our human and moral elevation and our inner purification, as well as our everyday lives and our future with Him in the Hereafter, which is the abode of eternity and everlasting reward.
This is why the Eid prayer follows Ramadan, observed on the first day of Shawwal and marked by the proclamation of Allah’s greatness and the recognition of His majesty and immense generosity towards us. During the days of Eid and these blessed times, Muslims are encouraged to focus more on glorifying Allah both inwardly—through deepening their awareness of His greatness and the immense value of what He has bestowed upon us and guided us to—and outwardly, through adhkar: 'Allah is supremely great, praise be to Allah in abundance, and glory be to Allah morning and evening.'
In this concluding lecture, as the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of fasting, comes to an end and the blessed Eid Al-Fitr arrives, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on the joyous occasion of Eid Al-Fitr to our dear Yemeni Muslim people: their esteemed scholars, their official institutions, their dear mujahidin on the front lines, the members of the army and security services, and all the men and women of our dear people. We also extend our sincere congratulations to our entire Islamic Ummah, and we ask Allah to grant our people and our Ummah the opportunity to witness this month again and again with goodness, victory, and blessings.
