Head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs announces the release of six Saudi prisoners
Head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs Abdulqadir Al-Mortadha announced, on Wednesday, that six Saudi prisoners were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Al-Mortadha stressed in a brief statement that the handover process was carried out on the instructions of the leadership. “We are awaiting similar steps from the forces of aggression to release our prisoners,” he added.
The forces of aggression procrastinated arbitrarily on the file of the prisoners despite the understanding on most issues related to the exchange of prisoners in the Stockholm Agreement for more than a year.
It is worth noting that the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs has succeeded in concluding hundreds of exchanges with the other party through local mediation, away from the United Nations.
