Yemen Foreign Ministry Condemns Trump’s Unfair Peace Plan
Foreign Ministry in the National Salvation Government condemned the US President Donald Trump’s so-called “Deal of the century” on the decades-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which was completely biased in favor of the Zionist enemy and against the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
An official at the Foreign Ministry pointed out in a statement that the Trump plan focused on what it called the security of Israel in a clear disregard of the legitimate and internationally recognized rights of the Palestinian people and the killing and displacement which Palestinian suffered by the Zionist entity.
“It is a flagrant violation of humanitarian values and international conventions, especially the four Geneva Conventions, he added.
The source called on Arab countries to assume their moral and national responsibility towards the Palestinians and preserve their inalienable rights.
He emphasized that the so-called deal of the century will not end the Palestinian Arab and national issue, but will lead to more violence and instability in the region and outside it.
“The Arab peoples will not remain silent. Any weakening stances will lead to the uprooting of these complicit regimes that are trying to abandon the Palestinian Arab territories.”
The source concluded his statement by stressing that any peace plan to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict must be based on the international legal references of the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly agreed upon as well as the basic rights of the Palestinian people, including preserving the cohesion of its lands and its capital al-Quds and the return of Palestinian refugees.
