Difficulties facing work of international organizations must be overcame: Health Minister

The Yemeni minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, met with the Regional Director of the United Nations Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Middle East and North Africa (OCHA), George Khoury.

They discussed aspects related to strengthening cooperation and partnership between the Ministry and the OCHA to support the health sector in Yemen and to develop solutions and remedies for the challenges it faces during the constant aggression and siege.

Al-Mutawakil stressed that the ministry is working seriously to overcome the difficulties that face the work of international organizations, in order to enable them to play their humanitarian role according to the country’s needs and to enhance the capacity of the health system.
