Sana’a Airport Closed to International Flights, International Organizations
The Ministry of Transport announced the closure of Sana’a International Airport, in front of UN flights and international organizations, starting from Saturday for two weeks, as a precaution to counter the coronavirus.
The Minister of Transport, Zakaria Al-Shami, stated that relief, medical and humanitarian cargo planes were excluded from this decision.
He stressed that the decision to reopen Sana’a International Airport to flights will be according to the evaluation of the Higher Ministerial Committee for Epidemic Control.
Al-Shami holds the US-Saudi aggressin responsible, if the virus spread through the airports and land ports under its controy, calling for taking precautionary measures to protect all Yemeni citizens.
