Salvation Gov’t decides to postpone all official, popular events, conferences
The Cabinet approved, in its regular meeting Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, the postponement of all official and popular events, conferences, workshops and the reduction of gatherings.
During the meeting, the Cabinet discussed additional precautionary measures to respond to any emergencies related to the emerging corona virus, at the national level, and the protection of citizens and to enhance the government measures announced during the past days.
In this regard, the Cabinet directed the Ministry of Health to increase the number of epidemiological monitoring and response teams and to coordinate with the Ministry of Information to raise awareness of the risks of gatherings, urging citizens to restrict their movements during this period between cities, and to limit their exit to the necessary purposes.
The Cabinet also stressed the importance of the commitment of the local authorities in the capital Sanaa and the provinces to the Cabinet’s decisions and the precautionary measures and actions taken by the High Ministerial Committee for Epidemics Control.
The Cabinet affirmed that these decisions, procedures and measures taken come within the keenness of the State leadership and the National Salvation Government to spare citizens any risks to their health and safety.
