Tawos: UN Organizations Not Responded to Support, Financing Quarantine
UN organizations have not yet responded to support and finance quarantines at Yemeni crossings to face any risks from the COVID-19 epidemic, said Abdulmohsen Tawos, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation.
In a telephone call with the Almasirah channel, Tawos added that more than 6 thousand arrivals are dealt with in the crossings with the procedures available daily.
He indicated that the Saudi regime is deliberately returning large numbers of citizens, making it difficult to make progress in light of the critical health situation in Yemen.
Tawos pointed out that the concerned authority is developing a work plan for arrivals, despite the difficult conditions and suffering that everyone is going through at the crossings.
