Last Friday, New Zealand announced that it would impose temporary restrictions on travelers from Iran as a precaution against the outbreak of the country’s coronavirus.
“It is clear that the situation in Iran is worrying, there is a continuing spread of the disease, and a great degree of uncertainty about the magnitude and potential of the outbreak,” New Zealand Health Minister David Clarke said in a statement.
“Based on medical and scientific advice, the government has imposed additional temporary travel restrictions covering travelers from Iran.”
“This means that no one will be able to travel from Iran to New Zealand, and anyone who has been in Iran for the past 14 days will need to be isolated.”
