Indian Newspaper: UAE Government Hides True Number of Coronavirus Cases
The Indian newspaper, “The Lede”, accused the UAE government of hiding the true numbers of people infected with coronavirus, noting that Kerala state recorded 63 cases with Coronavirus during Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, including 44 cases of returnees from Dubai Emirates .
The newspaper confirmed that the majority of the patients infected with Coronavirus came from the Gulf countries, especially the UAE. The returnees were living in Naif area in Dubai, where they operate small textile companies and live in cramped housing.
A social worker in the Emirates said that the situation in Naif would be a real threat to India and the Emirates, adding that thousands live in and around the area, and the outbreak of the virus will certainly happen.
In this regard, the newspaper quoted a worker who lives in Dubai as saying that the UAE is hiding the real number of the patients with coronavirus.
