Khazali: Our Position Firm with the Necessity for US Forces to Leave Iraq

The Secretary General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais Khazali, considered Thursday that the violation of the constitution by the Iraqi president had caused the loss of a full month of government’s life, stressing the need for the American forces to leave Iraq.

Alsumaria News quoted Khazali as saying, “the president violated the constitution and this violation resulted in the loss of a whole month of the government’s life. We decided to go along with the present situation.”

“There was agreement, if we don’t say political consensus, within the Shiite component on the new candidate,” he said, confirming the firm position of the necessity of the exit of American forces from Iraq.

He accused Saleh of trying to hand Iraq over to the United States.

Iraqi President Barham Salih, Thursday, commissioned Mustafa Al-Kazemi to form the next government, after the Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi apologized.
