Obad directed to contain damages of torrents, ensure the safety of citizens
Mayor of the capital Sanaa Hamoud Obad on Monday night directed the offices of public works and services to provide all equipment, mechanisms and needs necessary to rescue and evacuate citizens and preserve their property and open tracks for rainwater that flow to the capital.
The directives also included providing necessary shelter and relief assistance to the families whose homes were affected by the torrential rains, as well as monitoring and assessing all the damages caused by the floods coming from Khawlan district of Sanaa province.
This came after Obad’s visit to a number of neighborhoods to inspect the work of teams and emergency equipment following the high level of rain water and floods in the streets and the waterways in the capital.
