President Al-Mashat: our initiative fair to all parties
President of Yemen, Mahdi Mohammad Al-Mashat, affirmed that the political solution document submitted by the Republic of Yemen to stop the aggression and the siege represents a possible and fair way out for all parties and to reach a comprehensive settlement of all files of war.
“The peace initiative that we announced on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the September 21 Revolution is still standing,” President Al-Mashat said in an interview with the daily Al-Thawra newspaper on Saturday, stressing Yemen’s right to respond,
He pointed out that communication with Saudi Arabia continues, but it is exposed to tides and has not materialized on the ground, stressing that “we will not close any door that leads to peace and will not make a concession that affects the sovereignty of our country.”
The President called on Russia, whose president, Vladimir Putin, has received a message regarding the Republic of Yemen’s vision of lasting and comprehensive peace, and other major countries to do a role that protects the treaties.
He pointed out that the United Nations has a negative attitude towards the economic war on Yemen, providing cover for the coalition of aggression.
The President also affirmed that the Republic of Yemen is open in friendly relations with all countries and governments and that it wishes for a lasting and comprehensive peace, noting that he sent a message to the Russian President in this regard.
He stressed that independence and ownership of the decision is a condition for the advancement of the country and the interests of the people, as identification with spoilers is not consistent with Yemen’s values.
The President emphasized that the national vision was based on the agreed comprehensive national dialogue outcomes, noting that there are no rigid plans in the world and the national vision has been developed to keep pace with the changes.
