Al-Ajri: Shawqi Rifaan was still affiliated with the Takfiri organization ” Al-Qaeda”

Interior Ministry spokesman, Brigadier Abdul-Khaleq Al-Ajri, explained that the investigations revealed that Shawqi Rifaan was still affiliated with Al-Qaeda organization and had no relation to ISIS. Brigadier Al-Ajri indicated that Shawqi Rifa’an had a large number of books belonging to Al-Qaeda organization, in addition to lists of names of girls to be recruited with the organization.

He noted that Rifaan was imprisoned twice in relation to al-Qaeda’s work and was released under the direct guidance of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh in 2011. Rifaan was among some people distributing aid with the aim of registering women of targeted families, to recruit them with the organization and train them.

The security services announced, Sunday, that killing of Takfiri, called Shawqi Rifaan, in a kidnapping operation in Dhamar Governorate.
