Chairman of Zakat Authority: There is a large scheme for targeting the Authority of Zakat and its activities

Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nshtan, Chairman of the General Authority of Zakat, stressed that the document circulated by the media of the aggression and its mercenaries is not true, confirming that there is a law was issued in 1999 while raising this issue by aggression forces comes in the context of targeting the Authority of Zakat and its activities that contributed to alleviating the poverty caused by the aggression and the siege.

Sheikh Abu Nshtan said in a statement: “the Zakat Law is not a recent one, but it is the same law issued in 1999 and we have not changed anything in it.

He pointed out that this aggressive campaign seeks to distort the General Authority of Zakat after the Yemeni people touched its impact and assisted the poor among the sons of the Yemeni people without discrimination.

He added that the General Authority of Zakat managed during the few periods of its establishment to reach a wide segment of the poor and needy people of the Yemeni people in various governorates of the Republic, the commission reduced the effects of the unjust aggression and siege on the Yemeni people which was greatly disturbed the aggression.

Sheikh Abu Nshtan said: “whoever attacks you for five years and besieges you of medicine, food, oil, etc. is the same day he seeks to stand in the way of the General Authority of Zakat projects that we adhere to as an obligation of Islam Just like a prayer, and he works to launch massive smear propaganda campaigns for these blessed actions.
