The Ministry of Agriculture condemns the detention of aggression ships of oil derivatives

 

The American Saudi-led coalition detention oil derivatives and preventing their arrival at the port of Hodeidah were condemned  by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation .

The Ministry considered in a statement preventing the entry of oil derivatives a dangerous indicator targeting all groups of the Yemeni people, pointing to the implications of the detention of oil ships on agricultural production, the stoppage of manpower, irrigation pumps, agricultural campaigns directed against desert locusts and campaigns to fortify livestock and stop agricultural transportation and marketing.

These repercussions led to a decline in local agricultural production and a decline in food, health, social and living standards, stressing that oil derivatives are one of the most important factors in increasing and efficient agricultural production, being the main element in operating various agricultural machinery and equipment and pumping irrigation water, the statement pointed out.

The detention of oil derivative ships comes at a time when the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation is seeking with all relevant authorities to support efforts to improve levels of food security, reduce poverty, combat pests, diseases, insects and serious epidemics that threaten agricultural production in the flora and fauna, and implement extension, awareness and preventive campaigns for farmers with the aim of Improving the quantity and quality of their production, both in quantity and quality, the statement stated,

The Ministry renewed its call to the international community, the United Nations and all international organizations to stop the aggression, lift the blockade and allow the entry of oil derivatives, and assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities towards the war crimes coalition’s actions, and flagrant violations of all international conventions and laws.
