Worldwide coronavirus cases cross 37.24 million
Over 37.24 million people were infected with the new Corona virus worldwide, while the total number of deaths from the infection reached 1.72 550, according to a Reuters tally.
The COVID-19 infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and regions since the first cases were detected in China in December 2019.
The United States topped the list with 7,691,846 cases, while the total number of deaths was 213,778.
India ranked second in terms of the number of infections recorded at 7, 053,806 cases, with a total of 108,334 deaths.
Brazil ranked third in the number of casualties with 5, 082,637 infection while the number of deaths was 150,198, the second highest in the world after the United States.
Russia ranked fourth in terms of the number of casualties with 1.298,718 cases, with a total of 22,597 deaths.
